BioThis is a role playing journal for lj community"Flamingo Heights"
Character: Gary Oak
Series: Pokemon before midJohto
Most people know him as the obnoxious rival of Ash Ketchum. They were neighbors and best friends till they embarked on their Pokemon journeys. Gary has fun showing off his knowledge of Pokemon and skills he has gained and has been known to defeat Ash on numerous occassions. In the first season he was seen with a group of cheerleaders and driving in a red corvet. Afterward he was seen walking alone. After his defeat with Giovanni, he thought it best not to have the cheerleaders with him. He didn't want them to get hurt during a Pokemon battle. He's also one of the few characters that change in personality as the series continues. He becomes more humble and less arrogant and is even politer toward Ash. Ash still sees him as a rival and often wants to battle with him when they do meet. Gary becomes a Pokemon researcher like his grandfather and also continues to train. In the manga version Gary is seen traveling along with Ash, the both being able to put aside their rivarly.
For Flamingo Heights he goes to this world, hoping to find new Pokemon only to realize that this world has Pokemon and new creatures that resemble Pokemon. He enjoys picking on Jesse and James when ever he gets the chance to, having found out that they were in the community. Much like before he's left a big sign saying that "Gary was here" just in case Ash and his gang should show up.
He currently lives with a host family that has a younger sibling. He hates the curfews and the lack of the ablity to drive.
